Xiru Wang, born in 1995, started her PhD at Hamburg University of Technology in 2024. During her Bachelor’s and Master’s studies, she began researching the fatigue behaviour of welded joints. In her PhD, she continues to deepen this topic and focuses on developing methods in finite element analysis and machine learning. Currently she working as a researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials.
